Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) allows units to manage the firewalls protecting their digital infrastructure. It reduces information security risks by providing new network security capabilities and Level 2 support for network administrators.

The FWaaS project is part of the university’s adaptive network security initiative. In Phase 1, FWaaS provides visibility for unit IT administrators and ensures that network configurations align with university policy. Newly created unit networks include FWaaS capabilities at no additional cost.
