Follow the instructions in the Enterprise Service Centre (ESC) Knowledge Base article Troubleshoot the U of T Report Phishing button (UTORid login required) to add the Report Phishing button to your Outlook toolbar.

The Report Phishing button is designed specifically for the University of Toronto. It reports suspicious emails directly to the teams responsible for protecting and security institutional email. Reporting a message to Microsoft is outside the university’s email security processes and may not result in any action related to your U of T account.

No. The Report Phishing button is available only for University of Toronto email accounts.

No. The Report Phishing button is available only in Outlook. If you use another email client to access your U of T email, you can report suspected phishing emails by forwarding them to report.phishing@utoronto.ca.

Yes. To report a suspicious message from a shared mailbox, use the Report Phishing button in Outlook the same way you would from your personal U of T email account.
