The Information Security team is excited to introduce a new learning module as part of the Security Awareness and Training (SAT) program: Digital security for travel.

Launched on Sept. 29 ahead of Cyber Security Awareness Month, this short module equips faculty, staff, librarians and students with strategies to protect their data and devices while travelling — whether for work, study or leisure.

From securing devices against theft and loss to understanding border search protocols and minimizing risk on public Wi-Fi, the module covers:

  • Identifying common travel-related digital threats.
  • Applying best practices before, during and after travel.
  • Responding to device loss, compromise or search.
